Good evening, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!

It was a great weekend in Warrior Nation. A huge shout-out to our Warren Performing Arts Department as they took the state by storm. Our 16th Street Soul were crowned Grand Champions of the 2026 International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) Midwest Semifinals and are now on their way to the ICHSA International Finals in New York City this April, where they will perform among the top high school a cappella ensembles in the nation.

Additionally, this week our Warren Central Winds program was promoted to Open Class. Through their hard work and exemplary performances, they have maxed out the criteria and are simply too strong to remain in their current class. This promotion means their level of competition now expands nationally. With this shift, it marks the first time that all of Warren Central’s varsity-level Winds, Percussion, and World Guard programs are competing in Open Class. This weekend and into today our groups have been in action, and I am confident their results will speak for themselves.

As we head into the last week before Spring Break, we do so with the spirit of “we can do anything if we put the time, effort, and work into it.” This is the same spirit we want students to carry as we wrap up this final week before break.

Grades for Mid-Quarter 3 were made available on March 11, and Mid-Quarter 4 officially began on March 9. Students should make sure they are heading into break on track. We encourage students to check in with their teachers to see if there is anything they should be working on so that when they return from break they can hit the ground running.

Additionally, any juniors and seniors needing an additional boost to their grades or extra help with coursework should plan to attend Spring Break Success Prep, taking place March 23–25 from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM. Students should enter through Door 1 and head directly to the MediaPlex. Teachers from our core subject areas will be available to help.

We will also be hosting a Blood Drive this Friday, March 20. Students 16 years old and older are eligible to participate. Students who are 16 years old will need a parent or guardian to complete a permission form. This is a great opportunity for our students to make a difference in our community and help save lives. Students can register during their lunch periods leading up to the drive on March 20.

As always, student success is one of our top goals, and we encourage students to utilize all of the resources available to them. I also ask that parents and guardians keep an open line of communication with teachers and staff so that we can continue to work together to ensure students stay on the right track.

Please note that tutoring will only take place Thursday, March 19 this week, but will resume its normal schedule after Spring Break. Academic Advisory is also still available, and students may continue to sign up to participate. The link can be found in our Sunday Newsletter under the Student Support section.

Lastly, please remember that Spring Break/Intercession will run from March 23 through April 3, with students returning to school on April 6.

As always, thank you for supporting us as we support our students. Be sure to check out our Sunday Newsletter for additional details on upcoming events, including Prom.
