November 29, 2023
Good afternoon, Warren Scholars, Families, and Staff,
We have a few important announcements for the week of November 29th.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and extended holiday weekend. It is hard to believe we are in the home stretch of the first semester and the 2023 calendar year. I want to thank our Warren staff for an outstanding first semester of the school year. You can find some of those successes in the Fall 2023 Invest in Warren Newsletter Linked here. Also linked here is the latest edition of The Indy Far East Magazine. Please check out the great things happening in our schools and our community.
Speaking of community, IndyGo would like your help to spread the word about opportunities to discuss the upcoming Blue Line bus rapid transit (BRT) route. As the project nears design completion, IndyGo plans to solicit community feedback through a series of in-person open houses on December 5-7.
Through these meetings, IndyGo is seeking feedback on how to better understand business and residential property access and ways to reduce the overall impacts during construction. These meetings will not include a formal presentation. However, attendees can expect a project display area and time to have direct conversations with IndyGo staff about the project. All venues listed below are accessible by IndyGo’s Route 8.

As we head into the end of the first semester, I want to express my appreciation for the continued effort being placed on improving our student attendance. As I have shared before, student attendance is the number one indicator of student success. I am pleased to share that we continue to make great strides in reducing the number of student absences and the number of students who are chronically absent. We know that there are many reasons for a student to miss school, and while we cannot control when a student has an illness or a situation that requires them to be out, we can and want to support our families when other challenges prevent students from attending school on a consistent basis. Our family engagement liaisons, counselors, teachers, and administrators are here to help with those challenges. If you find yourself needing additional support, please let us know.
I hope you have a great rest of your week, and thank you for your continued investment in our Warren scholars, staff, and schools.
Together…#WarrenWill find Joy in the Journey.
