It is common practice for students to head to a destination after prom with their group of friends. Many Warren Central students prefered for Kings Island to be their after prom getaway, but due to Kings Island being unavailable the weekend of prom, students now must consider where to go after prom. This is not a problem however, as Indiana and the surrounding areas are filled with perfect after-prom destinations.

Six Flags

Six Flags Great America is an amusement park located in Chicago, Illinois, perfect for a thrilling after-prom trip with friends. The park opened to the public on April 19 for the season, charging $50 for an all-day ticket. Six Flags Great America contains 75 rides and attractions, including 14 different roller coasters. Royal Pin Bowling

Royal Pin Bowling is a bowling alley located off of Shadeland and 10th street, and a great place to spend hours bowling with friends. The bowling alley offers bowling games for a great price, and it has over 80 lanes available to play one. Chicago

Chicago, the windy city, located in northern Illinois, and has dozens upon dozens of things to do. It is the perfect after prom destination with something to do for everyone. Chicago offers the Navy Pier, Willis Tower and Millenium Park. Along with places to visit, there are also a variety of restaurants to eat at, including Shake Shack, Alinea and Foodlife. Go-karting

Fastimes Indoor Karting, near Castleton, is a great destination for those seeking a thrill after prom. The facility has a 900 foot go-kart track as well as various food options. Drivers must be at least 53 inches tall, and participants under 18 have to fill out a waiver. Fastimes will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and costs 22 dollars to race on the track.

Dave & Busters

Located in Castleton, Dave and Busters is a family-friendly facility for both dining and games. Dave and Busters offers a variety of American-style foods, as well as dozens of games ranging from virtual reality to bowling. The facility will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight the day after prom, making it a good place to hang out with friends.

Incrediplex

Incrediplex is a four acre indoor entertainment center. They have seven turf fields, four basketball courts, laser tag, an arcade and so much more. They charge a five dollar admission fee, which gets you a five dollar game card to use at their many attractions, or students can buy ten dollar sports day passes and use their many fitness related facilities.  With so many different options, this establishment would make a great after-prom destination.

Big splash waterpark

With the warm weather finally coming around, a good option for after prom is Big Splash Adventure waterpark. The park, located in French Lick Indiana, contains 40,000 square feet filled with pools, slides and other water-structures. The park also has arcade, laser-tag, dining, and shopping options. Tickets for the park are sold based on height, ranging from 19 to 24 dollars.

Defy

Defy is an extreme indoor recreational park found in Castleton, Indiana. At Defy, students can do tricks, overcome obstacle courses and participate in competitions at this establishment. Defy is open all week with hours varying on weekends. Instead of paying an entrance fee, students can pay by the hour starting at 16 to 25 dollars.

Main Event

Main Event is an indoor bowling alley and arcade located in Indianapolis. While bowling is considered the main event at this establishment, students can come and play arcade games, participate in laser tag, climb rock walls or experience virtual reality. Main Event also has a built in restaurant that serves a variety of dishes for students to grab a bite to eat without having to leave. Main Event is currently running a special that offers a seven dollar per activity play card that allows a student to play all day.
