Cold weather is here and that means we need students dressed for the season. We are asking that students do not wear shorts until after Spring Break. We still go out for recess when it is cold so we need students dressed appropriately. Please also put your child’s name on their coat, gloves, and hats. Our lost and found gets very full during the winter months so we want to make sure students have their winter gear.
Healthy Smiles of Indiana will be visiting Pleasant Run on Nov. 18 & 19th. They are a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping the children in our community. They provide the following services on site exams: cleanings, xrays, fluoride, and sealants. If you would like your child to participate in this program and he/she has not had a routine cleaning in the last 6 months, please fill out the registration form that will be sent home and return it to school as soon as possible. Additional forms are available in the school office. If you have any questions, call Healthy Smiles at 894-8370.
Community Hospital and the Marion County Board of Health are excited to have the opportunity to bring FREE FluMist vaccine to the students of Warren Township. Seasonal FluMist is a gentle mist that is sprayed into the nose to help children reduce their risk for contracting the flu. FluMist will be given to all students who are medically eligible and return a permission form to school by November 3rd.
At this time, exact dates are not available but we can expect the FluMist to be administered during the first part of November. Information will be coming home with your student. It is important that the required forms are returned to school by November 3rd.

You are invited to be a PAC Parent!
Does your child ever take too much time to do homework… need an extra boost of self-esteem…use social media…or choose not to follow your directions? As a parent, do you ever feel like you could use some support from other parents who have the same concerns with their children as you? If so, you are encouraged to register for our upcoming PAC (Parents are the Core) sessions. Throughout the 2014-15 school year, six sessions will be offered for parents. Topics include: how to determine what makes your child special and strategies for building these strengths, homework tips, discipline, your child and social media, and information Warren Township parents need to know. The sessions will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at school throughout the school year. Free supervised activities will be offered for children, ages 5-12, who attend with their parents. PAC Kids is open only to children whose parents are attending PAC. Activities will include crafts, computer games and activities, game nights, gym activities, fun projects, snacks, and entertainment. If you are
unable to attend the session at our school, the topics will be offered at every other Warren Township elementary and intermediate academy. Call the school office or check the Warren Township website for this information. PAC Web Page>>> Contact the school office to register for a session.
